Liverpool is experiencing something of a renaissance, with the renaming and expansion of the airport as Liverpool John Lennon Airport and the building of the glamorous MET shopping complex. In fact, major regeneration projects, inward business investment and an increase in jobs for local people are part of an up-turn in the city's economy and growth that is well above the national average. As a result the tax profession within Liverpool has been gradually expanding.
