A YORKSHIRE recruitment executive believes "the doom and gloom" of the recession may be lifting after seeing the number of vacancies at major firms increase.
Alison Tait, director at Leeds-based Georgiana Head Recruitment, said: “We saw a dramatic decline in vacancies between the beginning of 2008 and Summer 2009.
"We had circa 750 tax vacancies nationwide in January 2008 and this had fallen to less than 50 by the second quarter of 2009.
